Non-bank adds real-time application tracking to its Broker Portal

Pepper Money unveils broker tracking tool

Non-bank lender Pepper Money has released App Tracker, a digital platform available through its Broker Portal that allows mortgage brokers to monitor home loan applications from lodgement to settlement in real time.

The tool consolidates application management functions, enabling brokers to upload documents, manage outstanding conditions, and communicate directly with Pepper Money's credit assessors from a single platform.

Key features include real-time application status tracking, secure document upload, a unified conditions management dashboard, and direct messaging with credit assessors.

"Too often, application progress can feel like a black box for brokers and their support staff," said Barry Saoud (pictured top), chief executive of mortgages and commercial at Pepper Money. "Brokers have told us they want faster, more transparent ways to manage applications without needing to chase updates.

"App Tracker puts everything in one place making it easier to do business with Pepper Money, whether that's checking progress, managing conditions or staying on top of their pipeline at any time of day. It gives brokers more time to focus on customers and growing their business."

Pepper Money piloted the tool with Mortgage Choice brokers prior to the public launch.

Aaron Slater of Mortgage Choice"Throughout the pilot, we consistently received great feedback about the App Tracker from our network, particularly around the speed and clarity it unlocks," said Aaron Slater (pictured right), general manager of distribution at Mortgage Choice.

"With the App Tracker tool, our brokers have real-time visibility on how a loan is progressing from lodgement to settlement. It removes the guesswork and means brokers can spend more time with clients and less time tracking down updates, which is a win for both brokers and their clients."

The launch is part of Pepper Money's broader digital investment programme. "Technology plays a critical role in how we support brokers as volumes grow," Saoud said. "This is about making it simpler and faster for brokers to do business with Pepper Money, while giving them greater confidence and visibility across every deal."
