Deanna Ezzy is the founder and major shareholder of More Than Mortgages Pty Ltd. With several accolades under her belt, starting with Australian Mortgage Broker of the Year in 2013 to her most recent award of Top Regional Broker 2021, Deanna has been at the top of her game for the past 8 years. She has also been a Top 100 broker every year since, which Deanna attributes to 3 key things - above and beyond service, deep commitment to her clients, and a great team who believe in her vision. With her no-nonsense and down-to-earth approach, Deanna is quickly able to get to the core of what each client needs to fulfill their property ownership dream. This is why her tagline "Dream It. Own It." rings true for so many of her clients.

Since the business launch in March 2018, More Than Mortgages (MTM) has grown from a team of 2 to a team of 12. This growth has been due in no small part to Australia’s pandemic property boom. During the pandemic lockdown Deanna and her business partner Natasha Condi were able to manage the team and workload by appointing an Operations Manager to oversee training and to ensure staff were supported throughout the loan application cycle, so that client expectations were being effectively met.  

Company growth was just one change that occurred during the 18 months from June 2020 to November 2021. MTM switched aggregators in July 2020, which was no small feat, but Deanna was convinced the growth of the business depended on it. She can honestly say that this was one of the best decisions she ever made. With a new aggregator and new staff, the way they worked also had to change. Deanna and Natasha worked on a new strategy to streamline their processes so that team members worked together to settle the loans. Staff are paid well and are incentivised with profit share.

Deanna understands that the reason MTM continues to expand, evolve and grow is because of the people she surrounds herself with. With several mentors, a business coach, a personal coach and a team of brilliant broking professionals behind her, there is no limit to the opportunities for further growth and innovation.
