UTB names bridging key account manager for London

United Trust Bank (UTB) has promoted Bradley Illman (pictured) as its new key account manager for London in its bridging sales team.

Illman, who joined the bank in 2012, previously worked as an underwriter in the bridging division and played a pivotal role in establishing the bridging internal sales team.

In his new position, Illman will serve as the primary contact for bridging introducers based in London, focusing on leveraging his bridging expertise to support brokers in securing and managing deals, and growing their bridging business.

UTB believes his background in internal sales and underwriting will equip him in offering swift lending decisions, providing insights into borrower options, and assisting brokers with complex, urgent cases.

“Brad is a very knowledgeable bridging professional, and I am delighted to welcome him to the field team,” said Paula Purdy, head of sales for bridging at United Trust Bank. “His extensive bridging experience is excellent and particularly useful when assisting with more complex cases. Just as important, he is both trusted and approachable and I know he’s going to be a highly regarded key account manager.”

Commenting on his new role, Illman said he was looking forward to supporting UTB’s London-based brokers, strengthening relationships and exploring ways to further improve upon its already high service levels.

“There’s huge untapped potential in the bridging market, particularly in the unregulated space,” Illman said. “Now that UTB’s bridging operation is structured to provide separate quick and streamlined journeys for regulated and unregulated bridging applications, my aim is to use the experience I have in both disciplines to ensure UTB remains a go-to bridging lender no matter how vanilla or complex the case.”
