A direct retail lender has launched a recruitment drive for mortgage bankers, saying it will turn candidates with no experience into originators within 90 days.
loanDepot has said it will host a job fair at its new office in Plano, TX, on June 25. The lender has said it is looking for candidates with customer service or sales experience, but that a mortgage background is not required.
loanDepot executive VP of national sales, Mike Berte, said the company's Accelerated Career in Effective Sales (ACES) program could quickly bring the uninitiated up to speed.
"Our ACES program provides a comprehensive training program to enable hard-working, dedicated individuals to flourish as mortgage bankers. Previous ACES graduates have become some of our most successful senior mortgage bankers at loanDepot, earning up to $250,000 annually," Berte said.
The company said it paid for employees' licensing, continuing education and annual state license renewals through the NMLS.
