House prices show signs of slowing… Existing home sales slipped in July… Empire State Building stake bought by Qatar fund…

    The slowing home prices is great news for interest rates to remain low. The economic growth (GDP) continues to be muted along with wage growth, naturally allowing interest rates low. Home affordability is keeping folks from seller their current homes as they can not afford to move. New construction will serve the few that can afford the cost of new construction.

    Let's hope the Qatar fund fairs better than the Japanese investors that lost hugely with their investment spree in the United States during the 1980's. It was one of the few times we had a transfer of wealth from Japan to United States.
