Colliers International has announced the appointment of industry veteran Jim Murrett as regional managing director of the northeast for its Valuation and Advisory Services team in the Americas.

"I am excited to develop my career with Colliers International in a new capacity," Murrett said. "Our team is proud to provide our clients with the highest quality service and we will continue to do so."

In his new role, Murrett will provide leadership for recruiting and business development in the northeast region while continuing his current leadership of the team's standards, quality enhancement and risk management functions.

Murrett was most recently director of Appraisal Standards and Quality Enhancement for Colliers International. Previously, Murrett worked in the banking sector, last serving as chief appraiser for Bank of America.

"We are pleased that Jim is taking on a new role in our Valuation and Advisory Services group," said Ed Alegre, president of Valuation and Advisory Services USA. "With his help, the group will continue to grow as we execute our vision to be the most trusted and experienced advisors to our clients.”
