Ellie Mae names new product strategy leader

Ellie Mae has hired Eric Connors to lead its product strategy as it continues to work on automating the residential mortgage industry.

In his role as senior vice president of product strategy and management, Connors will be responsible for leading the overall product strategy for Ellie Mae’s Encompass digital mortgage offering, the Encompass NG Lending Platform, and related products including the Encompass Connect suite.

“Eric has a proven history of leading innovation in a data-driven industry, and we’re thrilled to welcome him to Ellie Mae,” said Joe Tyrrell, executive vice president of corporate strategy at Ellie Mae. “In recent months, we unveiled our Encompass NG Lending Platform and our Connect suite of solutions designed to help our lenders close more loans, close loans faster, and reduce the cost of origination, while leveraging data and automation to deliver the true digital mortgage. Going forward, Eric will be responsible for driving the product strategy in support of these solutions and helping Ellie Mae achieve our North Star of automating everything automatable for the residential mortgage industry.”

Before joining Ellie Mae, Connors was most recently the general manager of CoreLogic’s credit business.

In that role, he was responsible for the division’s strategy, product, compliance, sales, and operations. Connors also spent eight years at Yodlee, where he led product strategy, release management, and payment operations.
