Expands its Concierge service to fourth market

Redfin offers home improvements to Seattle sellers

Redfin has announced the expansion of its home improvement service for home sellers.

Redfin Concierge is now available to sellers in Seattle, its fourth market following Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. which launched in November 2017 and expanded to San Francisco in February 2018.

Sellers who want the company to plan the improvements that will maximize the home’s potential and project manage the improvements as well as deep cleaning, decluttering, and staging, pay a 2% listing fee.

"Determining which projects will yield the biggest return, finding trustworthy vendors, gathering quotes, managing timelines and overseeing work is stressful and time consuming,” said Karen Krupsaw, Redfin senior vice president of real estate operations. “With Redfin Concierge, you sign off on the plan, give us the keys, and then rest easy with the knowledge that the Redfin experts are taking care of all the details."

Those who want to handle their own preparations to get their home ready for sale pay 1%.

Competitive market
Redfin agent Jessie Culbert says the Seattle market has become increasingly competitive and the new service will build on the advice she already gives to sellers.

"Last year, the majority of homes in Seattle received multiple offers and sold quickly regardless of condition," said Jessie Culbert, a Redfin agent in Seattle. "That is no longer the case. Sellers recognize they will be more successful by investing in improvements and staging to put their home in the best light possible.
