Roadshows to boost cross-selling potential

Whilst the potential that this type of cross-selling can have should not go unrecognised, the firms have primarily teamed up to help reduce the protection gap in the mortgage market.

‘Operation Protection’ will see two dedicated roadshows held in London on Tuesday 12 and Thursday 14 February.

The sessions will focus on why protection is so important and how advisers can educate clients to identify protection needs and overcome common barriers.

They will also provide time saving tips, including a tele-underwriting clinic.

Tenet Group distribution and development director, Keith Richards said: “In Swiss Re’s most recent report on distribution, it found not only that the protection market remains stagnant but that the ‘protection perception’ gap has widened, whereby Britons believe they are better covered than they actually are.

"Advisers therefore have an essential role in educating their clients and ensuring they are not left exposed, especially with reference to their duty under 'Treating Customers Fairly'.”
