Platform boosts team

Berry will be responsible for managing Platform’s sales force while contributing to and shaping the company’s sales strategy.

He has worked for Platform’s Sales Department for over seven years in a variety of roles, joining in 1999 as a business development manager, progressing to regional sales manager and divisional sales manager before his most recent position as a key account manager.

Jason began his career with Pearl Assurance Plc as a sales manager before leaving to join St James Place as partner in 1996. He spent six highly successful years with Platform from 1999 to 2005 before taking up the position of interim sales & marketing director with The Finance Centre (TFC). He rejoined Platform early this year in his current role as a key account manager.

His primary responsibility will be delivery of Platform’s sales targets through robust leadership and development of Platform’s team of 35 sales professionals. Jason will also make a significant contribution to Platform’s change programme with a focus on the development of our core customer proposition.

David Tweedy, Platform’s managing director commented: “Jason has been a valuable and influential member of our sales team for many years and we are delighted to announce his well deserved promotion to this key position. Platform prides itself on being a great place to work, grow and develop, so it is particularly pleasing to be able to fill such an important role from within.

“Jason has significant sales management experience and has developed excellent relationships with many of our key customers and internally, with both our sales and processing teams. We are confident that his sales and leadership skills combined with his natural enthusiasm will ensure that he does an outstanding job in taking Platform’s sales function forward into a new era.”
