Moneycorp makes French connection

UCB is one of France’s best known mortgage providers. Under the new contract, UCB’s British customers with mortgages on their properties in France will be able to take advantage of Moneycorp’s range of foreign exchange services, designed to offer these homeowners the most cost-effective service for transferring their mortgage payments from the UK.

In addition to better exchange rates, faster transfer times and reduced fees when transferring mortgage payments overseas, UCB’s customers will now be able to secure and fix favourable Sterling and Euro exchange rates for a period of up to two years. In addition, they will also benefit from the convenience of making transfers by Direct Debit.

More than 2,000 UCB customers are expected to benefit from the service, with Moneycorp planning to target a further 2,700 customers in the New Year who currently action mortgage payments by another means.

Commenting on the new deal, Nick Bull, marketing manager for Moneycorp, said: “It is a major coup to have secured such a lucrative contract with one of Europe’s leading mortgage providers.

“Transferring mortgage payments overseas can be a confusing business, with many people simply not aware of the significant impact currency fluctuations can have on the amount they pay.

“Thanks to this new partnership, we will be able to demystify the process for many French property owners and ultimately help them make their hard-earned Sterling and Euros work harder.”
