Intelligence promotes offering to Scots and Irish

The network will also add two further roadshows to those which were announced in the last issue of Mortgage Introducer. These will take place in Belfast on the 16 June and Falkirk on 8 July.

Sally Laker, managing director of Mortgage Intelligence, said that both regions were under-represented by many networks, despite providing significant volumes of business.

Laker said: “The key to these areas is to understand how the market operates within them. This is why we are focusing so intently on them.”

Commenting on the announcement Richard Griffiths, managing director of Network Data, said: “Broker populations must represent the territory’s demographic. Scotland has about five million people compared to 50 million in England so it can only generate 10 per cent of the business. I am surprised that Mortgage Intelligence are focusing so heavily on smaller regions in the run-up to regulation.”

Laker said: “Scotland and Northern Ireland are important markets for us. We want to ensure brokers have the same access to regulatory information as everyone else.”

· Pink Home Loans has also appointed a business development manager to foster business with Scottish and Northern Irish brokers and to also promote its regulatory solutions.
