Ellis-Calcott has over ten years lending experience in the industry including stints at The Loans Engine and Commercial First Mortgages.
In his new role he will be tasked with developing more business in the north of England and Scotland.
Clive Willson, sales director at Brightstar, said: “Brightstar has an award winning proposition and is already extremely popular with introducers.
“Now we want to reach out to the many other potential introducers who want to engage with us face to face.
“Having Nathan on board gives us a fresh approach to take the Brightstar message directly to the intermediary community.
“Nathan comes to us with a strong pedigree and a reputation for working closely with adviser firms of all sizes.”
Ellis-Calcott added: “I am looking forward to developing new business from the intermediary sector in the North and Scotland. Brightstar offers so much for intermediaries who want to increase the lending options they can offer clients, and I am keen to help them through training and onsite support to ensure their businesses make the most of the many opportunities in the specialist lending market.”
Last week Brightstar confirmed that Chris Bennett had become its first business development manager and would be tasked with covering the Midlands and the Northern Home Counties.
