Bridgewater masterclass heads to Devon

The fourth Masterclass of the year will be held in Exeter taking place on the 23rd October 2012 at the offices of Ashfords LLP, Ashford House, Grenadier Road, Exeter EX1 3LH.

The Masterclass begins at 10am and finishes at 12.30pm.

Free parking is available and lunch will be available for all delegates.

The event is free for all equity release advisers and has been designed for those who wish to reach the highest advice standards in this marketplace.

As per the usual format, four expert speakers will present on a varied range of topics which will be particularly relevant to those operating in this sector.

The subjects and speakers are:

• Longevity – the changing impact on equity release advice. Paul Barber, Director, Bridgewater Equity Release.

• The UK housing market – an investor’s view of current trends and future expectations of the residential market. Tracey Hartley, Senior Manager, Grainger plc’s Property Services Division.

• The legal process – insights into the legal process and how understanding it can improve practice and profitability. Peter Barton, Solicitor and Senior Partner, Ashfords LLP.

• The equity release advice process – developing best practice to ensure customer risk is appropriately matched to the advice offered. Chris Prior, Business Development Manager, Bridgewater Equity Release.

The Masterclass is aimed at those advisers already active in the equity release sector but looking to develop their understanding of current market issues and further develop their client service proposition.

Chris Prior, business development manager at Bridgewater Equity Release, said: “This month’s Bridgewater Masterclass heads to the South West where we are hoping the local and regional equity release advisory community will join us for a session designed to provide advisers with a range of information that can help them develop their business offering.

“Previous Masterclasses have been well attended and received and it is our hope that this Exeter event will be no different. Once again we have four speakers confronting the major equity release issues of the day in order to help support advisers as they seek increased levels of business and look to enhance their equity release advice proposition.

“This is an important time for the sector and the financial advisory space as a whole as we move towards the new RDR environment – we believe this event will offer plenty of help, advice, tips and information for those who have carved out their equity release niche but are now looking to take it to the next level.”
