BDS launches sourcing system

Initially piloted with ten firms, which were then increased to 26 after positive feedback, the 'Gravity' system is rolled out in full from today

‘Gravity’ is unique in its ability to inform the broker of the products available if a case may fall just outside criteria. When a product is selected it lists the ‘near misses’ which enables the adviser to have more flexibility in finding the correct product for the client, therefore ensuring the quality of advice is of the highest standards and aiding compliance procedures.

‘Gravity’ also provides proactive management information as it has the ability to be able to deliver numerous reports, in various formats and different frequencies.

The system is web-based so it is updated online, this ensures that products are constantly updated and in some cases can actually be updated faster on ‘Gravity’ than on the lenders’ own website. It has direct links to lenders KFI’s and decision engines.

The system has been developed to satisfy broker needs in terms of fast, accurate and up-to-date sourcing. ‘Gravity’ aims to reclaim some broker faith in sourcing systems by getting it right first time thus saving valuable time and resource.

Other features of ‘Gravity’ include:

  • One system for brokers and packagers means relevant real time case tracking
  • Instant alert system
  • Document management system
Phil Jay, managing director at BDS, commented: “The system is aimed at addressing the accuracy of sourcing products in the sub-prime market. Historically this sector has been notoriously difficult for brokers to source the correct products for individual clients, however we are confident this system will add speed and efficiency to any broker’s service offering.”
