AXA responds to broker demand

AXA has seen a significant increase in protection business through IFAs in 2007 and the recruitment drive will support further growth, as well as allowing the team to build closer relationships with individual advisers.

The business is searching for experienced protection specialists to become AXA Protection Line Sales Consultants, who develop relationships with advisers by phone, as well as field-based Protection Account Managers visiting advisers across the UK.

Jamie McIver, director of protection sales, said: “We recognise the importance of building and maintaining strong relationships with advisers, to make it as easy as possible for them to write protection business.

“The protection arm of AXA has seen rapid growth this year as we continue to expand our position in the market. Improvements to our protection products, such as the inclusion of total mastectomy cover in our CI policies, means our sales team has been dealing with a greatly increased number of IFAs requesting information.

“To build on this success, and to continue to offer a good service to advisers, we’re delighted to be expanding our sales team. This will support the growth of our Protection business in 2008 and, hopefully, contribute to closing the vast protection gap that exists in the UK.”
