Accord Mortgages join Countrywide’s mortgage panel

Countrywide is the UK’s largest mortgage broker, operating approximately 700 mortgage consultants across the UK, offering exclusive products through a panel of mortgage lenders. Countrywide’s customer proposition also enables consultants to source a range of off-panel products for specialist lending cases or for customers seeking specific mortgage products.

The news follows the merger between Yorkshire and Chelsea building societies earlier this year, which saw Accord Mortgages become the sole intermediary brand.

This appointment further cements Countrywide’s position as the UK’s leading intermediary for banks and building societies with access to customers throughout its 1,300 estate agency and lettings offices.

Grenville Turner, chief executive of Countrywide, said: “We are delighted to build on our longstanding relationship with Chelsea Building Society by having Accord Mortgages join our panel.

"We look forward to working alongside the Accord team to ensure we provide our customers with the widest range of competitive mortgage products to extend our position as a market leader.”

Charles Canning, managing director of Accord Mortgages, said: “Our relationship with Countrywide Mortgage Services dates back to 1992 and has evolved over the years.

"Our focus is on developing key intermediary lending partnerships and Countrywide is well placed in the intermediary market to assist us to reach our goals.”
