Half of people without life cover complain they haven’t taken a policy because it is “too expensive” while one in five says the process to arrange cover takes too long.

Research published by life insurance provider Beagle Street also found that of those with life insurance, 56% said they feel happier and more secure since taking out a policy.

Matthew Gledhill, managing director of Beagle Street, said: “Getting life insurance means you can get on with enjoying your life knowing your family will be able to cope financially if you are not around, and with Beagle Street it takes less than ten minutes to do and isn’t nearly as expensive as clients might think.”
