HTB’s specialist mortgages division cuts minimum loan size

Hampshire Trust Bank’s specialist mortgages division has reduced its minimum loan size from £200,000 to £100,000.

This is in response to feedback from its brokers and borrowers.

Alex Upton, sales director at Hampshire Trust Bank, said: “We all know that portfolio landlords have been through the mill in recent years and in response to this we are seeing more and more reach outside of London and the South East to diversify their portfolio with higher yielding, lower value properties.

“Therefore, we have reduced our minimum loan size to £100,000 to help support these landlords.

“We always listen to our brokers about our proposition and where possible make the changes.”
