Kim Winters started her financial career in banking. During her seven years with First Union National Bank (now part of Wells Fargo), she served clients by focusing on financial planning, earning numerous awards along the way, including the Corporate Customer for Life Award, as well as President’s Club and MVP awards. Following a hiatus after the birth of her first child, Winters returned to banking with a focus on mortgage planning. Now at Movement Mortgage, Winters has successfully helped thousands of clients navigate the mortgage process, and she has been a President’s Club member every year since 2014.

“With Kim’s career spanning 18 years in the mortgage industry, she has built a team that promotes and empowers women such as myself to succeed in the mortgage industry,” a peer says. “Her passion to help other women to grow and be successful in this industry has made an impact on so many lives. Her caring heart and tireless efforts to serve other women and her community set her apart.”

Winters’ other accomplishments include serving as a past president and treasurer for the Mortgage Bankers Association of Western North Carolina, where she remains active on several committees. She is also an affiliate member of the Asheville Buncombe Board of Realtors, which awarded her with its Mortgage Banker of the Year Award in 2011. Outside of the industry, Winters is involved with Habitat for Humanity, Haywood Street Congregation Feeding the Homeless and the American Cancer Society.
