Suncorp NZ EGM resigns

A member of Suncorp’s New Zealand executive team has left to become CEO at a rival firm.

Suncorp New Zealand EGM customer experience, Nadine Tereora, has resigned from her position, the company has announced today.

Tereora, who joined Suncorp in 2012, was EGM of Suncorp Life New Zealand and CEO of Asteron Life before moving into the newly created role of EGM customer experience earlier this year.

Suncorp New Zealand CEO Paul Smeaton announced Tereora’s resignation today, citing her ‘immense contribution’ to the business.

“Her leadership, innovation and strong customer focus leaves us in a strong position for the future,” he said.

Tereora is leaving to take on the role of CEO at Fidelity Life, commencing in October.

Her departure has prompted an internal and external search to be conducted to secure her replacement.

Smeaton added: “On behalf of Suncorp New Zealand, I would like to thank Nadine and wish her every success for the future.”

Fidelity Life chairman Ian Braddock said, “Nadine brings to the role extensive experience, proven business acumen and a focus on driving transformation and growth through sound strategy. She is a visionary business leader and her appointment signals the start of an exciting new chapter for the company.”

“I am delighted to take up this new position and look forward to working with the Fidelity Life team to deliver new opportunities and growth for the business,” said Tereora.
