The White House worth almost $400 million - Zillow
In two days, America’s most popular house will have a new homeowner, but not before Zillow’s home valuation found out its worth at $397.9 million – and being the most important home on the online real estate marketplace.

Since the Obamas moved in in 2009, the White House has appreciated to 15%. Nationwide, home values have appreciated 6.5% since last year and 9% since the 2009 inauguration.

Over the next year, the White House is expected to appreciate to 3%, as well as the home value growth all over DC.

"President-elect Trump is moving into one of the most famous homes in the country -- and, according to Zillow, it's also the most valuable home in the country," said Zillow Chief Marketing Officer Jeremy Wacksman. "President Obama's term coincided with a massive recovery of the U.S. housing market, and that's reflected in the updated value of the White House. Home values across the country are growing at their fastest pace since 2006, with many markets setting new records -- one of the reasons why the White House is worth more now than it has ever been."

With a whopping 132 rooms and 32 bathrooms on 18 acres, the White House includes basketball and tennis courts as well as a sun room and a library – features critical to the House’s ‘Zestimate.’ With a 30-year fixed mortgage, a potential buyer would have to pay $1.6 million a month, while a monthly rental payment would be over $2 million a month.
