Notarize, Title Resources team up for digital closings

Digital notarization platform Notarize and title insurance underwriter Title Resources have announced a partnership that seeks to expand online notarization for real estate transactions.

Under the deal, all independent agents appointed with Title Resources will immediately be able to access the Notarize platform for all types of transactions, including purchase, refinance, HELOCs, and all-cash transactions.

With this announcement, online closings through Notarize are now available across 38 states and the District of Columbia, including new states such as Michigan, New Mexico, and Wisconsin.

Notarize and Title Resources are enabling lenders, independent title agents, and customers to benefit from fully digital online closings utilizing Notarize platform offerings: Notarize for Mortgage and Notarize for Title Agents.

With access to the platform, Title Resources agents can now offer buyers and sellers an entirely online closing. Additionally, they can create online closings for all-cash transactions, when only seller documents are needed to be executed online, or trailing documents.

The partnership also allows the agents to walk clients through the closing package online, authorize clients to execute the closing package with a Notarize notary, reduce errors and ensure proper execution, accelerating every aspect of the closing, eliminate printing fees, and integrate existing Title Resources tools with the Notarize Mortgage API.
