MGIC announces new executive vice presidents
Mortgage Guaranty Insurance Corporation (MGIC) has tapped to veterans as executive vice presidents and announced four more promotions, according to a news release.

James Hughes has been named the company’s executive vice president of sales and business development, while Salvatore Miosi has been named executive vice president of business strategy and operations.

Both held the same positions before as senior vice presidents.

Hughes began with MGIC in 1987 as account manager in the Mid-Atlantic region; Miosi has held leadership positions in the operations, technology and marketing divisions.

"Jay's and Sal's promotions reflect their important contributions as leaders within our organization," said Patrick Sinks, president and CEO at MGIC. "As we continue to position MGIC for success, we need to capitalize on the expertise of professionals like Jay and Sal. There is simply no substitute for the degree of industry specific knowledge that they bring to the table."

The private mortgage insurance company also announced four promotions:
  • Stacey Murphy:  vice president of talent management
  • Christopher Perry: vice president of sales
  • David Schroeder: vice president of claims
  • Paul Spiroff: vice president of investments
"One of the main reasons MGIC has maintained our industry leading position during our 60-year history is due to the talented group of co-workers that I'm privileged to work with," Sinks said. "I congratulate Jay, Sal, Stacey, Chris, Dave and Paul on their well-earned promotions."
