Luxury home sales increase in Denver
The number of homes sold for over $1 million in the Denver metro increased by 43 per cent year-over-year according to new figures. There were 130 homes sold in June which was 23 per cent higher than in May. “The summer luxury market is really heating up,” said LIV Sotheby’s International Realty president, Scott Webber. “Buyers need to know that even in the luxury market, there is ample competition that may be vying for the same property. Today’s strong buyer demand is an opportunity to successfully market a property in a luxury market that only comes around every few years.” Despite the demand the average selling price dropped 11 per cent in the month to $1.4 million but the selling-days fell 22 per cent to 91 days.

In Boulder County luxury sales were lower in June, falling 38 per cent from May. Average selling price was $1.4 million, down 9 per cent from May but 9 per cent higher than a year ago. In the resort community of Eagle County sales were also lower, down 19 per cent from May, but up 44 per cent from a year earlier.
