Freddie Mac has announced the election of Grace Huebscher as a director on the company’s board.

Huebscher brings decades of experiences as a former executive in the real estate and capital markets industries.

"We are very pleased that Grace is joining the Freddie Mac board," said Christopher Lynch, Freddie Mac's non-executive chairman. "She is a seasoned executive with a deep understanding of the multifamily business and the capital markets. We look forward to the valuable insights and entrepreneurial spirit Grace will bring to the board during a crucial period of GSE conservatorship."

Huebscher most recently served as an advisor of Capital One Commercial Bank, a post she held from April to November. She previously served as president of Capital One Financial unit Capital One Multifamily Finance.

Prior to these roles, Huebscher served as CEO of Beech Street Capital, which she co-founded in 2009. Earlier in her career, she held various posts in Fannie Mae from 1997 to 2009, including vice president for capital markets. Huebscher is also a former member of the Commercial Board of Governance of the Mortgage Bankers Association.
