OpenClose, a loan origination system and digital mortgage fintech provider, has announced the appointment of Chris Olsen as vice president of sales engineering.

In his new role, Olsen will provide software support for OpenClose sales executives. The company said that his background in mortgage technology will help in further advancing its digital mortgage point-of-sale and LOS software.

“Chris brings a unique blend of enterprise-level solution-based experience, sales engineering methods supporting large lenders, development knowledge, project execution and management expertise from startups to Fortune 500 Companies,” said Vince Furey, chief revenue officer of OpenClose. “He will serve as a valuable resource for our organization as our rapid growth continues.”

Olsen joined OpenClose from Ellie Mae, where he served as senior technical sales engineer. Before that, he was project manager at JP Morgan Chase and senior software developer at CloserEdge, a software provider for the real estate title and settlement services industry.

“I look forward to working with lenders and taking OpenClose’s pre- and post-sales engineering to the next level,” Olsen said. “The completely browser-based comprehensive mortgage software suite that OpenClose has developed and continues to expand on is in high demand by a variety of different lending entities of all types and sizes. OpenClose is an innovative and nimble software firm that has major advantages over the competition. I will enjoy showcasing their immense strengths, disruptive software model and far-reaching lender benefits.”
