The new executive brings more than two decades of experience to the role
Assurant has appointed Scott McGregor managing director of American Title, its title, valuation and settlement services unit.
In his new role, McGregor will oversee the subsidiary’s product lines and lead strategy and innovation.
He will be based in Omaha, Neb. McGregor replaces Mike Mackintosh, who previously announced his plans to leave Assurant.
“Scott has a proven track record of leading teams to operational excellence while maintaining a strong client-centric approach,” said Dan Hoppes, senior vice president of Mortgage Solutions, Assurant.
McGregor brings almost two decades of experiences in leadership roles in mortgage lending and services. He most recently served as COO of American Title, a role he assumed in 2013. He first joined the company in May 2008 as vice president of the title service operations.
Earlier in his career, McGregor served in multiple capacities as an operations manager at Wells Fargo with a focus on building and centralizing operational functions.
