Aspen Insurance Holdings turns to mortgage veteran for newly created role

Aspen Insurance Holdings has appointed Andrew Rippert (pictured) to the newly created role of executive vice president and head of mortgage. He will report to Christian Dunleavy, chief underwriting officer of Aspen Reinsurance, and will be a member of the reinsurance executive committee.

The firm said Monday that Rippert, a 20-year industry veteran, will help Aspen shape and build its global mortgage insurance and reinsurance businesses and portfolios. The company added that Rippert’s arrival comes as it “continues to focus on strategic and profitable growth opportunities across the group.”
