American Financial Resources has tapped industry veteran David Margulies as its new executive vice president of global sales. He will lead AFR’s sales platform and oversee the acquisition of conventional, government and jumbo mortgage products.

Margulies brings more than 30 years of mortgage banking experience to AFR. He previously served as executive vice president of Proficio Mortgage Ventures. In that capacity, he was responsible for the company’s mortgage banking platform, including operations, production and capital markets.

“We are excited to have David, one of the mortgage industry’s top leaders, join our executive team,” said Richard Dubnoff, CEO of American Financial Resources. “His incredible leadership, experience and expertise in building large-scale sales channels, will further expand AFR’s capabilities in the retail, wholesale and correspondent aspects of our business.”
