Texas-based Vivo Realty to pilot membership plans

Real estate brokerage launches new coworking model

A real estate brokerage in Texas is piloting a new coworking model which it says is unheard of in the industry.

Vivo Realty is offering four different levels of membership depending on members’ real estate business; and the monthly fees and annual dues are payable instead of a traditional commission structure.

"Our membership model fits the modern agent. They want flexibility, pure and simple. We took away unnecessary costs without sacrificing quality. Think Trader Joe's," said VIVO co-founder and CEO David Maez Sr.

Members of the scheme get 24/7 access to three Dallas-Fort-Worth storefront locations which can also be used as event spaces.

"Looking at other flourishing coworking spaces we wondered, why is no one doing this for Realtors? Ninety-eight percent of agents spend less than 15 hours a month in their office. It made sense to offer simple memberships and a coworking-style office to meet with clients and work," said co-founder, broker David Maez Jr.

Brokers are also given access to online marketing, training, and tech tools.
