Lighting, bike lanes and green spaces are top 3 items. 42% of realtors say solar panels increase the perceived value of a home. This clearly indicates the failed knowledge of realtors and why they desperately need a sustainability program. First there is several studies including a multi state study clearly documenting that solar panels increase the value of a home. Nothing is perceived. This is the reason for AI green addendum to document this fact which realtors completely missed the market. And fail to properly fill out the green fields and leave them blank. The top three items are energy efficiency, which includes insulation, weather sealing and EE appliances. Bike lanes, and green spaces is green infrastructure not a homeowner asset. Completely missing is water conservation fixtures, infrastructure and landscaping. What Realtor or an entire industry completely failed to research the nations increased water rates? What this half hearted study reveals is the NAR is really not on the ball. Where exactly is NAR's work on greenthemls after more than 3 years? It is not the green experts responsibility to educate an entire industry that has been a failure for more than a decade...and by thus study continues to fail. What is the NAR creed? trust? Talk about a slow boat to china! Realtors need to focus on 3 car garages and granite countertops this is their mentality!
