The chairman of the Senate Banking Committee has scheduled a hearing to further consider a bill that would wind down Fannie and Freddie. But with key Democrats withdrawing their support, is he just grasping at straws?

"bill is problematic" 'bill needs major revision" LOL how about a match and garbage can. The housing industry still needs a major boost... the banking committee need not apply. If you want to help, someone might want to consider talking about lower rates til the end of the year.

The bill should be defeated. Why put more of a burden on the common investor? Greed, that's all it is. They have trillions and still want more.
