Urban Financial Group Announces Hiring of Sherry B. Apanay to Lead Sales

Kristen N. Sieffert hired to direct corporate-wide project management and coordinate call center operations 
 
TULSA, Okla. (January 6, 2011) – Urban Financial Group, Inc. today announced the hirings of Sherry B. Apanay to lead wholesale and retail sales and Kristen N. Sieffert to direct corporate-wide project management and coordinate call center operations.
 
Ms. Apanay is a former Executive Vice President at Generation Mortgage Company and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association (NRMLA). Ms. Sieffert was previously the Acting President at EquiPoint Financial Network.

Biographies 
 
Sherry B. Apanay, Managing Director, Sales, will be responsible for wholesale and retail sales channels. Ms. Apanay joined Urban from Generation Mortgage Company where she served as Executive Vice President and oversaw all sales channels for the reverse mortgage lender. Prior to that, she was a First Vice President at Financial Freedom Senior Funding Corporation in the wholesale division. She started her career at Unity Mortgage Corp, which was later acquired by Lehman Brothers and merged with Financial Freedom.
 
Sherry currently serves on the Board of Directors of the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association (NRMLA) as well as the association’s Professional Development Committee and Independent Certification Committee, which administers the CRMP program. 
 
 
Kristen N. Sieffert, Director, Project Management and Call Center Operations, will be responsible for directing corporate-wide project management and coordinating call center operations supporting retail loan origination.
 
Ms. Sieffert joined Urban from EquiPoint Financial Network where she served as Acting President and oversaw retail mortgage lending which encompassed loan officers, a call center and operations across a 23-state platform. Previously, she was Vice President, Operations for One Reverse Mortgage. She started her career at Financial Freedom, a division of IndyMac Bank.
 
Kristen has a bachelor of arts in political science from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)
