Rates move higher across the board

Mortgage rates rebounded from the lowest rates of the year this week, moving higher across the board, according to new data from Freddie Mac.

The 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 3.98% this week, up from last week’s average of 3.92%. Last year at this time, the 30-year FRM averaged 4.10%.

The 15-year FRM averaged 3.13% this week, up from last week’s 3.08%. Last year at this time, the 15-year FRM averaged 3.20%.

The 5-year Treasury-indexed adjustable-rate mortgage rose to 2.94% from last week’s average of 2.91%. Last year, the 5-year ARM averaged 2.96%.

The 1-year ARM rose from last week’s 2.41% to an average of 2.43% this year. Last year at this time, the 1-year ARM averaged 2.51%.
