Loan originator looks to Black Knight for LOS

When one multi-state loan origination company went looking for a new loan origination system, the solution came in the form of a Black Knight.

W.R. Starkey Mortgage recently signed a contract for Black Knight Financial Services’ Empower loan origination system (LOS) to support its retail banking operations.

“We were looking for a comprehensive LOS that would offer greater scalability to accommodate our growth strategy,” said Jim Clapp, president of Starkey Mortgage. “With its proven success and continuous updates to support regulatory requirements, we felt the Empower system was the right choice to help us expand our originations operations.”

Additionally, Starkey Mortgage will implement SalesEdge, a Web-based solution that integrates both lead management and customer relationship management (CRM) capabilities within one complete platform.

Using Empower's task-based workflow orchestration engine to automate the various processes involved in originating a loan, Starkey Mortgage expects to increase the productivity of its retail operations and decrease risk by minimizing the number of manual processes. Empower, which is available as both an ASP- and lender-hosted loan origination and Web portal solution, supports retail, wholesale and consumer direct channels and helps lenders electronically capture, process and close loans.

SalesEdge's lead management capabilities help lenders manage high volumes of incoming leads from various online and direct marketing efforts. Using the solution's configurable workflow and rules engine, lenders can control how leads are distributed and assigned.

With SalesEdge's CRM functionality, lenders can develop and manage their long-term referral sources, classify partners by productivity levels or business type and monitor the status of any referred lead, as well as create and schedule marketing campaigns.
