Fereday joins Whitney Bank as Senior Vice President, Private Banking

BATON ROUGE, La. (May 10, 2012) –Tom Fereday has joined Whitney Bank as Senior Vice President, Private Banking. Fereday will lead the Bank’s team of private banking professionals and will serve as a partner and advocate for all aspects of his clients’ financial needs.

A Baton Rouge native, Fereday is a veteran financial services professional with extensive experience in bank operations, retail branch management, and private wealth management. He has also contributed many community volunteer hours to organizations such as the Boy Scouts.

“With his strong ties to the local community and tremendous experience in finance, Tom will be a great asset to our private banking team and an invaluable resource for our customers,” said John P. Baxter, the senior vice president and regional private banking manager for Whitney and Hancock banks.

Before joining Whitney, Fereday spent 22 years in private banking at area financial institutions, growing a sizeable portfolio of clients and specializing in medical clinic financing, construction and development loans, equipment financing, and capital lines of credit for professional firms. He has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Louisiana State University.
