Senior vice president of sales, loanDepot
Al Murad began rising through the ranks at loanDepot soon after joining the company as a senior mortgage banker in 2011. By January 2012, Murad had been promoted to production manager. By December of the same year, he was a senior vice president of sales—one of only two production-focused SVPs at loanDepot, the country’s second-largest independent mortgage lender.
Murad opened loanDepot’s Tennessee facility and built it into a 50-employee operation, then took over as site leader for the company’s Texas office. Today, Murad is responsible for nearly 30% of loanDepot’s mortgage banker staff, and has guided his teams to increase their total sales volume by 94% in the past year.
