Beverly Hills Flats home sets new $58.9 million record
A home in the Flats of Beverly Hills has become the most expensive home ever to be listed in the prestigious area.

The Flats is home to many Hollywood A-listers and high-end property is no surprise but the $58.888 million price tag of this property makes it a record breaker, but so does its size.

Listed by Coldwell Banker, the 73,077 square feet property is the single largest residential estate to come on the market in the Beverly Hills Flats in the past 22 years.

Built in 1989, the home has been home to many famous names including Tony Bennett, Cary Grant, Fred Estaire and Lana Turner, and offers plenty of space for even the most lavish of showbiz parties.

The European-style villa has 8 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms, two-story wine cellar, billiards room, media room, and two-story wood-paneled library.

Outside space measures around 4,800 square feet and includes a sunken tennis court, and a resort-style pool.

There is even a miniature electric and steam railroad with its own whimsical station and variety of engines. The railroad circles the property and was inspired by a similar one at the nearby Walt Disney estate.
