The CFPB has announced it will delay the effective date of TRID

The real mistake is the existence of the CFPB, and it's unconstitutionally appointed "director".

These rules are not helping the consumer and only delays the closing and holds people from getting into the home

They did not officially delay this until October - get your facts straight.

Read the exact words. It's a PROPOSAL. The last statement about a grace period is also incorrect. A grace period has not been announced.

Does this mean that compliance is optional from 8/1 to 10/1, or that we are not to use the new forms until 10/1?

Did anyone else see the funny poll on the right side of the page? The proofreader was asleep for that one. "Is TRID/TILA good or bad long term? Answer yes or no?" LOL, how do you even answer that question? The way it was written there are 4 possible outcomes. :-P Oops!
