Surveys released in the past two months by both opponents and supporters of the mortgage interest deduction (MID) seek to influence the fate of the popular tax break for homeowners as Congressional and Administration leaders struggle to find revenues to avoid the pending fiscal cliff that will trigger massive tax increases and spending cuts at the end of the year.

Hmm Zillow's survey results would hurt housing. No surprise, since zillow is usually wrong. So many ways to help the deficit without going to MID for regular home owners and "entitlements" (read that what you worked for). Stop paying ppl who never farmed a day in their lives to NOT raise crops. Stop allowing corps to send their money overseas to avoid taxes. Tax all of everyone's income. Why cut off FICA @ $106800? Those making up to that amount are taxed on ALL their income, why not everyone. Amazing our tax code is written to benefit the uber rich.
