Two Senate Democrats are urging the Department of Housing and Urban Development to crack down on reverse mortgage servicers for what they say are abuses. But the head of an industry group says the problem is most likely not with lenders and servicers, but with a vagary of the law

This is yet another fine example of senators interjecting themselves into a conversation that they know little or nothing about. Just simply that the constituency is being wronged and that they better jump in to fix the wrong. The rules are fairly simple and ARE NOT intended to force foreclosure. Senators Boxer and Schumer are missing the facts.
