With the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s new mortgage rules officially in effect, many originators worry that the regulations will stifle business and make it harder for consumers to get mortgages

Well said Josh. Once the public starts to complain about how difficult it is to secure a mortgage for a mortgage the laws will have to be re written. Until then we have to tighten our belts and and roll with the punches in this business that we love.

the consumer doesn't have enough information
about all the consequences of the new rules yet. news stories should be written to local papers by our industry leaders about what is happening with the CFPB and the new regs that will affect less than perfect borrowers who cannot afford $100k mortgages.
