The nation’s 6th-largest provider of residential retail mortgages is laying off hundreds of employees as higher mortgage rates discourage refinancing

Wells Fargo et al stupidly and lazily abandoned the pursuit of purchase mortgage business years ago to concentrate on cherry picking easy refinance mortgages. Now they have to face ridiculous Dodd-Frank requirements to generate business with a visionary bankrupt leadership. Redundant and useless middle managers by the thousands are quietly panicking in their offices as the rank and file come to them for guidence. Good luck with that everyone.

Sounds like James is a angry bitter laid off Wells Fargo employee.
