    I used to work for an environmental auditing firm. I can say from experience that if you are getting readable levels of lead in your tap water, you have a much bigger issue than lead leaching from solder joints. I agree...get the plumbing addressed, but consider testing it from the house water main to compare with whats coming out of the faucet. Personally, I'd still rather drink a minute amount of lead than the stuff that leaches from the plastic. And I'd rather have cleaner air resulting from fewer trucks delivering all this brilliantly marketed "clean" liquid.
