F&F were forced into conservatorship by the government after the government forced the GSE's to take bad mortgages from banks. Fannie and Freddie were never threatened entities, until the Government and Treasury forced them to be.

Those who watched the director saw a stunning example of bureaucratic quagmire. "It's not my job," sums up the entire morning. We'll get answers when party bosses give him directions which are most likely to follow Elizabeth Warren's proclamations for how lenders should be treated in the future.

What a mess… This is what happens when the "government" decides to go into business.

Isn't it time to tell the truth about Fannie and Freddie? How the Govt lied to us all and USED fannie and freddie to bailout the BANKS? How the FHFA and Treasury 2k over F&F and made them sign over their companies in DURESS, with threats? How the Treasury lied to congress about TARP? Is it not time for truth? How much money must be TAKEN by the US TREASURY before the truth of such taking is told to the public? How the housing market was saved by Fannie and Freddie and How the banks and PLS nearly trashed the USA?
