We seem to be caught between a rock and a hard place. An alternative to Fannie/freddie would be great, but credit is already tight and the housing market still needs to find its footing....couple this with higher insurance premiums for FHA coming down in april, borrowing costs are on the rise.

BofA has a habit of coming in and out of the correspondent space. They were one of the first mega banks to exit wholesale before the crash, only to come back in, and exit again. Maybe less stringent reps and warranties from fannie/freddie will bring them back. I dont work with BofA and haven't for years, but less competition never seems good for borrowing costs...
