A House subcommittee has voted to issue subpoenas to officials from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau as part of a continuing investigation into charges of discrimination at the agency

If these allegations are proven true, then the CFPB should immediately be demantled. How can they possible issue rules holding mortgage originators accountable and liable for actions, when they themselves are committing discrimination or other wrong acts against their own employees. Another govt I say not as I do...crap!!! But Congress should have thought this Agency setup through more carefully. They are the ones who passed Dodd-Frank to create the CFPB. Give an agency only one director with seemingly unlimited power and no accountability and you are bound to have greed and corruption from the very beginnin.

If true, this demonstrates all that is wrong with America. In the long run it will be discovered this agency is a bigger waste of taxpayer dollars than it is worth. We simply should not be funding an agency that pays exorbitant salaries to those lacking experience. All it does is spend tax payer money to "protect" those who could get protection another way if they are in the right.

This is what happens when our corrupt government sets up a very powerful agency with no limitations of how they are allowed to abuse its citizens.

Evil is defined as the exercise of power. To intentionally harm people psychologically, to hurt people physically, to destroy people mortally, or ideas, and to commit crimes against humanity. The Power is in the system. The system creates the situation that corrupts the individuals and the system is the legal, political, economy, cultural background. And this is where the Power is. If you give people power without oversight, it's a prescription for abuse. If Ms. Martin's allegations prove true, cause lies within the organization that allowed the behaviors - whether through culture or through lack of training.

This Agency should never been created in the first place, it is a total waste of tax payer money and a waste of time.
