Despite holding the rate at its latest meeting, the Fed could hike rates later this year

This is ridiculous. I'm tired of these elitist people, who are completely out of touch with how the rest of us live and get by, making decisions with the wave of a wand and tip of their crown that will greatly impact our well being and livelihoods for years to come. None of their decisions will have any impact on themselves, yet the decision to raise rates will dramatically impact the rest of us and the world, for that matter. They could raise rates to double digits and it would have zero impact on themselves, so there is a complete unawareness of what the repercussions will be if they do this. They simply don't care.
