    A mortgage broker by definition is not a financial institution. If a mortgage broker does not lend then how could they be held liable to report to HMDA?

    CG, you should know that the CFPB doesn't let nasty little things like facts and truth get in the way of unchecked, burdensome & overbearing regulatory efforts.
